The Praia Hilton enterprise will consist of a 201-room, 14-story hotel featuring a business and leisure center with a total area of more than 700 square meters. The leisure center will include fitness rooms and a spa with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, while the business center will feature large meeting rooms and facilities for events.
The hotel will be located just six kilometers from Nelson Mandela International Airport and from Praia sea port, two of the main ports of entry into Cape Verde, and will also be located near several diplomatic representations and government institutions.
On The Resort Group’s official web site, CEO Rob Jarrett does not hide his satisfaction, saying “we are very happy. The Hilton brand is respected all over the world, because it defines the highest possible standards in the hotel business. Our hotel will follow these norms in order to provide guarantees as an enterprise of reference for the capital.”
Hilton Worldwide currently has 37 hotels in Africa and 26 more under construction on the continent, including the 268-room Hilton Santa Maria, on the island of Sal. The company recently announced the signing of accords to open two large Hilton Garden Inns in Nigeria and the DoubleTree Hilton Zanzibar Stone Town in Tanzania.
